I decided to release the source scripts for self installing the BBOM webapp after a user raised the question on security issues, whether I will collect user data as the webapp is hosted on my site.
I made some changes to the code so it would run in other site.
note. some site may not allow cross domain ajax request.
It can also serve as an example for writing iphone compatible websites.
In it are scripts for orientation detection and browser detection for iphone and itouch.
codes are release under GNU GPL license.

Codes are not compressed or minified, to save bandwidth, optimisation will need to done by the installer.

Status – 60% done.
Pretty busy the last few days, development is slow on this, as I am unfamiliar with Vista.
Most of the code from the dashboard widget can be reused. the Gadget shell with manifest is already done, I bascally have a gadget with the graphics and text done. Ajax calls are the same, so the gadget is already working.
Graphics have to be redesigned as sidebar gadgets only occupies around 130 px space.. so graphics got to be cramped into a 120 x140 box.
The setting page has already been drawn up. persistence setting is stored in an ini file rather than an xml but like Dashboard it is handled by system calls, so it is pretty easy to implement. This section needs yet to be done.

1. Enter http://iphone.sgapps.com/bbom into the URL bar in mobile safari.
2. Click the “+” button at the bottom menu bar.
3. Click “add to home screen”
4. after the icon appear, click “add”
There is the icon on your home screen, click on it whenever you need to check your data usage.

Recently I have restarted my interest in programming, particularly Web or script programing.I have not done much programing over the years, except during school days. I am a Video/Graphics Editor by training and I don’t work in the IT sector, but my knowledge in programing proves to be useful in the film and Video Production arena as well.
Focus of this bog will be about programming stuff, which includes Web scripts (e.g Javascript, PHP etc), Specialized scripting for After effects, FCP, C4D and more.
I will share tips and trick on AE and FCP as long as it is relevant.
Lets share some codes, tips and learn something from each other at the same time have some fun out of it.
Currently This blog is Under Construction, everything is loosely put together, it is up only for a few days.
I got it up early so I can host my files and launch my webapps, so please bear with me.

Here is some screen shot of the web app I am working on. Basically it is a webapp that logs in to Singtel and retrieve you usage data. It is optimize to minimized bandwidth usage.
comes in graphical and non graphical mode.
Weight of the graphical version is 12.8K, 4.8K cached.
2.7K for non graphical mode.
